This may also be an issue. Nevertheless aluminium foil helps to solve the problem of jumping cursor. It took me quite a while till I found the solution…

Now I have changed OS to VISTA (I used WIN7) and the laptop (surprisingly) works like a charm! No hibernation problems, no overheating, better fan speed control. I wanted to sell it, but now as it works better on Vista than on 7 (!) I’ll leave it.

I would like to comment that i have a tx 2000 as well so i feel your pain. as far as the cursor jump i always assumed that because the screen is comprised of mercury inside of it that when the heat hit that portion of the screen the tempurature raise caused the mercury to expand like in a thermomiter and gave the effect that the screen was being touched by the pen. although i’m probobaly wrong being that im not exactly a computer expert. just thought i’d shed some light on the subject.
